Today In History; John Quincy Adams, 6th U.S. President
1767: John Quincy Adams was born during the tumultuous years leading up to the American Revolution and into a family at the forefront of the American independence movement. His father, John Adams, became the second president of the new United States of America. John Quincy served as a U.S. senator, minister to Russia and secretary of state before becoming the sixth president of the United States.
