In 1965 scientists discovered new celestial bodies know as blue galaxies. Their discovery supports the big bang scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to big bang, the universe began sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago. A cosmic explosion hurled matter in all directions. The big bang theory explains why distant galaxies are traveling away from the earth at great speeds.
